Crozon

I wouldn't want to try sailing through these waters! (or swim here either! It's cold!) This is the vacation spot for the large majority of Flo's extended family. His mother came here often while she was growing up. Its an exhaustive 45 minutes away from that fast-paced life found in their small villages. :-)

"Those damn Germans!"

Actually, that's not true (this time). These bunkers were built in the 1890s.

The canons weren't added until the 1920s, and only a few years later the Germans decided that they liked it and so took it. I can't really blame them for wanting to take it, it has quite a nice view.

"To the Bretons of the Free French Forces: France lost a battle but did not lose the war in the universe. Free from the immense forces that have not yet given a day -- these forces will tread on the enemy."

In the U.S., these boats would be considered an eye-soar and legislation would promptly be passed to have these removed. People would comment about how it is redneck and lowering the value of their property.

In France, this is considered a photo opportunity for the tourists and probably makes the rents higher for the nearby restaurants and bars... truly two different worlds.

L'Abbaye de Landévennec
Built around 1660. I think these are the remnants of three different eras. Mostly forgotten but rediscovered in the 1950s.

Probably the nicest view of any church I've seen yet (except Mont St. Michel).
