Le Moulin-Rouge

The One and Only:

Is it just like the movie? Not really. Nicole Kidman and Ewen McGregor were nowhere to be found, nor were the songs the same oddly covered ones from the movie. Yeah yeah, I know, I wasn't honestly expecting any of that. What was remarkably similar to the movie, though, was the strange lack of cohesiveness throughout the show. Remember Ewen McGregor writing the story for the Moulin Rouge, how it seemed to be thrown together at the last second... yeah, that's how it was. Nonetheless, the show was still quite interesting and dazzling for that hour and a half that we had.

No Pictures Inside Please!

I found myself wondering how they decided which girls would be topless and when. As well as, why aren't any of the guys taking their clothes off?

It still has the old wind mill on top of it. I'm not really sure why that is there. Although, this last trip to Paris, I did discover that there were a few windmills in this surrounding area. One of which had some traitors tied to it and on display after their bloody revolution.

Many thanks to Flo's dad for taking us to this delightful place.
